stupid stomachache, NYC, and my friends
July 5, 2005
I haven’t updated my blog for a while, maily because I have been having stomachache since last week. It was so painful that I had to leave my work early, and I don’t know why…maybe stomache flu or something. It happened 2 days before I went to NYC to see my friends. Oh, I was in so much pain…., but I went there anyway…. My friend, Yurie came to NYC and Chicago from Japan. We stayed at John’s fancy apartment in Manhattan. The 4th of July was his/ his twin brother’s b-day and big fire works, so it was very fun. The fireworks were amazing. I had a good time there with my friends and their friends.
I had yummy conghee which is Chinese rice porridge at Conghee village two nights in a row…. My stomach asked for it. Luckly, my friends loved it too, so it was nice. I met up with Jimmy and later Gretchen too. I delivered Matt’s mails and Matt, Dave, Julia, and I had a lunch together at the place called Dojo. It was cheap and vegetarian friendly. nice!
I had a very very delicious Thai food at Sripraphai right after I got off my airplane at La Guardia. The food was delicious, but it was not a good idea for my stomach. That was very stupid of me…
Oh I finally finished the book “confederacy of dunces’ on the way to La Guardia. Here, again, the girl who sat next to me said that that was her favorite book and she read it several times. So, I re-started the book today on the way back from NYC, and another girl saw my book in the airplane and said, “this is a great book!” So many people have talked to about it. I love that! I wonder if Harper’s dad liked it.. I should ask him.
NYC was fun, but I am so glad to come home…. Our schedule was sort of tough under my stomach condition and Yurie’s jetlag. John, on the other hand, was partying hardcore every night. His cousin, Hitoshi was fun to hang out too. Too bad that I didn’t get to see John’s twin brother Sung and his wife, Lynne.
We did a lot in a short amount of time, but it’s 12 a.m. and I am getting tired, so I will talk about it later, I guess.
sweet dreams for all
